The monthly Vintage clothing and Accessories section has been steadily growing over the past few years with handbags, silk scarves, compacts, perfume bottles and furs dominating. The many popular Classic Car Revival and 2nd World War Military re-enactments are boosting the Vintage fashion market as owners and enthusiasts dress up for the occasions. Both ladies and gentlemen seek out original outfits and accessories for the Goodwood Revival meet in September where visitors are encouraged to dress up for the occasion (often at these meets, prizes are given for the best dressed!). Costume jewellery from the 1940’s onwards has become popular and whilst the majority of paste pieces can still be found for a few pounds, similar precious stone mounted gold pieces are realising high prices. Stylish silver pieces by well-known designers including David Anderson and Jack Spencer are becoming collectable and prices are rising steadily.
