A CONTINENTAL HEAVY EARTHENWARE JARDINIERE AND STAND, 1914, possibly Belgian, the baluster jardiniere moulded in high relief with two figures allegorical of harvest and war and with two lion mask lug handles, the tapering square section stand with a mother and child over the moulded date 1914, opposite the figure of a beggar man, the two alternate panels with a bombed harbour and an aeroplane over troops in a forest, all in a streaky dark turquoise glaze, apparently unmarked, 37" high overall
