A ROBERT THOMPSON ADZED OAK PEDESTAL DESK, 1930/40's, the rounded oblong top with ledge back and saw tooth edge banding, the horse shoe shaped kneehole flanked on either side by three pedestal drawers with wrought iron loop handles, arched apron, multi panel sides and back, on shaped block feet, pair of carved mice trademarks to feet of left pedestal, 56 3/4" x 24 1/4" x 33 1/2"  (Illustrated) Probably a dressing table originally. This item has been examined by the Directors of the Mouseman factory who suggested the date and also that the alteration were done by the factory perhaps because the original purchaser had reneged on a commission (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
