A CHINESE EXPORT LACQUER GAMING BOX, 19th century, of serpentine oblong form raised upon four carved lion mask feet, painted in shaded gilding with panels of figures at their daily business, the cover (worn) with overlapping panels of figures and precious objects, hinged and opening to reveal a central box and cover flanked by eight rounded oblong counter coasters each painted in colours with precious objects, 13" x 7" overall, 4 1/2" high
