A COLLECTION OF CONTINENTAL COWBELLS, 19th century, three stamped Obertino (France), 7 1/2" - 8 1/4" wide, each with leather straps, three similar German bells stamped K. Schopfer, 5" - 6", and seven smaller bells, unstamped (13) Provenance: William Henry Rawson was a joint founder of Rawsons Bank, later Halifax Bank, eventually merging with Lloyds. His grandson John Selwyn Lawson lived at Haugh End, Sowerby (built by John Carr). He bred prize winning Channel Island (Jersey) cows. The cowbells were still at Haugh End until 2013
