OF POLITICAL INTEREST, Rufus Daniel Isaacs (1800-1935) later Marquess of Reading (1926) - an Edward VII "H M Solicitor General" black leather despatch case by Wikwar & Co., Jermyn St., 18" x 12" x 5 1/2", and a George V "Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs" red leather despatch case by D H M Statty of Op...(?) and retailed by John Peck & Co., 15 1/4" x 10 1/4" , 5 1/2" high, both with embossed gilt ciphers and titles and inset brass handle to the top and a loop carrying handle (2) (Illustrated) N.B. The Marquess of Reading was the only person to hold both these titles at this period, and the boxes have apparently always been kept together (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
