AN 1897 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, the 32 1/2" fullered blade etched with foliage, crown, GR, Royal coat of arms and maker's mark for Joseph Ridge & Co. Sheffield, hilt with George V cypher, shagreen grip and plaque inscribed "TO ANDREW A MEMENTO OF HIS FIRST FILM FROM JOHN MACKENZIE SEPTEMBER 1984", leather officer's knot, leather bound scabbard and canvas sword bag, 40 1/4" long, together with associated paperwork Provenance: Purchased in 1984 by Tempest Films from Alan Beadle Antique Arms to be used as a prop by Andrew Hawley in the film "The Innocent".
