A ROBERT THOMPSON LIMITED EDITION HOVINGHAM ESTATE ADZED OAK TABLE, No.55/99, the octagonal top inlaid with symmetrical burr oak panels, raised on four faceted turned and block legs on a cross base with square feet, carved mouse trademark in high relief, in original fitted box with certificate and purchase receipts (Illustrated) Note: The original design of this table was created by Robert Thompson in 1924 to celebrate the birth of his first grandchild. He made two tables at this time, one for his daughter Jean Cartwright and the other for her daughter Elsie. In 2002, two 250 year old trees were purchased from the Worsley family of Hovingham Estate, North Yorkshire, and ninety six tables were made from these two ancient trees (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
