AN EXTENSIVE COMPOSITE TORTOISESHELL PIQUE WORK SILVER DRESSING TABLE SET, maker Walker & Hall, Birmingham, comprising large oval box with hinged cover on four out turned feet (1913), 7 1/4" wide, rounded oblong ring box (Birmingham 1919), 6 1/2" wide, oval bevelled hand mirror (1917), pair of hair brushes (1917 and 1918), pair of clothes brushes (1917), and a pair of flute cut globular eau de cologne bottles and stoppers with hinged covers, (1918 and 1919), together with a similar slice cut glass hair tidy with lift off cover (maker's mark S&A (?), London 1919), pair of small panel cut glass jars with lift-off covers, (maker Hardy Bros. (?), Birmingham 1919), and a plain arched timepiece (marks rubbed), the white enamel dial with purple guilloche enamel Arabic numeral roundels, 4 1/2" high, each piece engraved "From Jim to Mama" with date of gift (13) (Illustrated) (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
