AFTER RENE TAUPIN D'AUGE - a gilt metal desk standish, c.1900, of elongated trefoil form, the upswept gallery applied with an oblong plaque cast with a fireman rescuing a man below the motto "Courage Devoueent", the base with two firemens' helmet inkwells flanking a central well stamped "RF-Nationale des Sapeurs Pompiers Francais Federation", raised upon four outcurved feet, 12" wide (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
