A CANTONESE IVORY BRISE FAN, late 18th century, centred by an oval gauze panel enclosing a script initial, the sticks carved and pierced with figures at their daily business amidst flowering prunus, the guards carved in low relief with similar scenes, with mother of pearl "eyes" and silvered metal loop, 7 1/2" long, together with another fan, with iridescent and black feathers and silk plaited cord and tassel, 11" long overall (2)
