A PRINTED PAPER "WELCOMING" SCROLL from the "Members of the Chittagong Association", dated August 1927, fixed onto a pale blue silk backing, by the Minto Press, Chittagong, 22 1/2" x 11", contained in a lined wood cylinder with engraved white metal ends and plaque engraved with dated inscription, 14" long, cased (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT) This is part of a collection of scrolls awarded to Sir Francis Stanley Jackson (Governor of Bengal) of Chapel Allerton, Leeds. Soldier, Politician and Cricketer (played twenty Test Matches 1893-1905 scoring 1415 runs including five centuries)
