JOSEPH HERRING, LONDON, a Georgian bell top ebonised bracket clock, mid 18th century, the eight day movement with verge escapement repeat striking on a single and a nest of six graduated bells, back plate engraved with foliate scrolls, 7" arch brass dial, the matted centre with signature and silvered plaque and chased pendulum aperture, chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, calendar aperture and strike/silent dial in the arch, the inverted bell top case with brass carrying handle, glazed side panels, on moulded base, 19 1/2" to tip of handle (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
