ATTRIBUTED TO GLYN WARREN PHILPOT (1884-1937), A Mythological Subject, possibly Euridice Satyre and Snake, oil on canvas, signed with initials GWP..., 12" x 16", gilt frame (Illustrated) Provenance: Purchased from Tennants Auctioneers 2001, Lot 764 attributed to George Frederick Watts (1807-1904), however the Watts Gallery suggest it is more likely an early work by Philpot, and indeed a somewhat similar picture was sold by Christies on 7/11/91 Lot 54, again signed with initials
