A VICTORIAN TORTOISESHELL OVAL PURSE, the upper section inlaid with a vacant panel, hinged and opening to reveal a sky blue watered silk fitted interior, 2 1/2" wide, together with a polished horn oblong snuff box with similar inlay, 3 1/4" wide (2) (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)

Box- nice condition, inlay probably base metal (the 2 small rings each side of the ellipse are 'brass' coloured) and is slightly raised, hinge good.
Purse- tortoiseshell is good, no chips or cracks, base metal frame. The blue watered silk is original but requires replacing. The tiny centre clip is in good working order but again silk needs replacing.
